Introducing the long-awaited collaboration between DarkLight Dynamics and Evolution Gear—the VCSEL Illuminator MKII DLD-EG NGAL is finally here! Fully hand-sealed in IP64 or IP67 Waterproof (submersible up to 1 foot for 3 minutes).

Each NGAL comes with our in-house designed DLD Illuminator Diffuser Cap, allowing users to quickly switch to a wide flood beam. As an upgrade, we also offer a functional ND filter, which reduces beam intensity for improved eye safety and less bloom. This ND filter can also be purchased separately to upgrade older models—available here.

Each unit is hand-inspected ensure it meets strict quality standards. This rigorous process guarantees that you won’t receive a DOA (Dead on Arrival) unit or anything that falls short of excellence.

Every NGAL order includes a DLD QC Checklist, outlining the thorough quality control process so you can be confident you’re receiving the best possible unit.

IP67 Version Option: 

Fully hand selected top binned VCSEL diodes with little to no illumination halo. Fully IP67 waterproof (submersible up to 1 foot for 3 minutes), each unit is sealed and potted with the same high-quality epoxy used in real unit, providing a more realistic look and robust protection. Each NGAL undergoes rigorous testing, including internal pressure testing to ensure a sealed body, followed by submersion to verify IP67 waterproofing. Finally, each unit is shock tested to guarantee retention. Crafted for exceptional durability and precision, these hand-fitted units ensure smooth operation and unmatched reliability. Comes with a signed DLD QC Checklist. It is also backed by a 1-year warranty and is fully serviceable for ongoing support. This is their flagship model.

IP64 Version Option: 

This version offers the best balance of weather resistance and cost-effectiveness. It features a hand-sealed IP64 weatherproof rating, allowing reliable operation in wet or heavy rain conditions. The fully potted PCB ensures maximum durability, and each unit undergoes rigorous QC testing before shipping. It’s backed by a 1-year warranty and is fully serviceable for continued support.

Add ND Filter Option:
This filter reduces the intensity of the IR laser, which not only minimizes laser bloom but also improves eye safety during use.  It’s an essential upgrade for anyone looking to ensure more precise control.
